Arash Radan born on July 17, 1973, is a famous rock/blues guitar player in the Iranian music scene. He grew up in Tehran. One day when he was five years old, he picked up his father’s guitar and played one song that his dad was playing as a drill. So, his father decided to arrange a guitar class for him. That was how the son became the guitarist instead of the father! At that age Arash began to learn some flamenco exercises, and about two years later, he stopped playing. Suddenly, at the age of 12th, when the rock music was spreading in Tehran, he decided to play guitar again. So, he began to learn guitar with one of his father’s friends who was a great rock guitar player in Tehran named Masoud Mirshab. In one year, Arash learned to play acoustic guitar, singing English songs, and some improvisation basics with his mentor mirshab. A few years later he began to learn electric guitar by himself. Very soon he became a famous guitarist in Tehran, although pop\rock music was not authorized at that time. In 1994 he performed his first pop/rock concert in north of Iran. Then he began to perform many concerts as lead guitarist for a singer/songwriter named Shahkar Bineshpajooh. Thus the rock band Pejvak was born and was fully based on the lead guitar playing of Arash. He performed many rock concerts with the band in Tehran and some other cities, playing Pink Floyd, Santana, Dire Straits, Joe Satriani and so on. Due to prohibitions like English vocals, all the vocal lines were played and improvised by Arash .Pejvak performed a Pink Floyd cover at the Kish island which was the first concert with English vocals that got permit for the first time in Iran.An album was released by the band named "Bar Bastare Laghzane Zaman".
